Last night's episode of The Walking Dead was.....weird. The beginning sequence showing Alexandria on a normal day with the sun shining and everyone going about their daily routines. We have Morgan finishing his jail cell and Rick asking him "Why???" "So we have better choices.".
Then there's Carol and Darryl's scene. Carol has gone far beyond the scope of a conflicted character in the world of the Walking Dead. The once meek abused housewife has over the course of the 6 season's turned into the group's most resourceful killing machine, now battling her own conscience. She's made up her mind the minute she walks away from Darryl on what she has to do.
The next 30 minutes of the show revolves around Eugene trying to show Abraham he is now a smart killer with a big machete and not the afraid of his own shadow old Eugene. Abraham hearing enough decides to leave Eugene to defend himself. Not good if you really know Eugene.
Then we have what would turn out to be the nexus of the episode. Darryl and Rosita deciding to let Denise come with them in search of medicine. Here's my problem with that. The writers expected to define Merritt Weaver's character, with a tiny bit of her backstory in 12 minutes. An actress of her caliber could have and should have played an integral part as the series moved forward. So what do they do? They kill her off with an arrow through the head and it wasn't just any arrow. It came from Darryl's crossbow that was stolen from him by Dwight who he should of killed but didn't.
Enter the Saviors, led by Dwight, who surround Darryl and Rosita as they hold a gun to Eugene's head. Small talk ensues as Dwight re-introduces himself and tells them what they want is for them to take them back to Alexandria so they can take what they want and who they want. Abraham is hiding behind some barrels while this is going on and Eugene decides the time is right for a little distraction. He tells Dwight where Abraham is and when Dwight turns to look Eugene bite's Dwight's privates and won't let go allowing Abraham, Darryl and Rosita to turn the tables and send the Saviors running for their lives. In the process of all this Eugene was shot but it only grazed him.
Back at Alexandria, Abraham has a talk with Sasha and tells her how he feels and she invites him in so now they're an item we all saw coming. Darryl and Carol are burying Denise. That's when we start to hear Carol's voice reading a letter to our group at Alexandria. No matter what they do people are going to want what they have. When they kill them another group will come. She has decided to leave and tells them to please not look for her. End of episode.
So what do we take from this episode. Once again it's all hinging on Carol. She knows they'll look for her but at this point she is so guilt ridden from all she's done her best course of action is to get away from the group and hopefully find her peace. I'm sorry to say this but for everyone out there waiting on the Finale and what happens with Negan. I now believe the one to die in the Finale will be Carol who will sacrifice herself to save one or more. We might not like it but if that really dose happen all we need to do is "look at the flowers."

IS SEASON 6 OF THE WALKING DEAD THE BEST OF SERIES
It is really hard to comprehend that Season 6 only has 3 episodes left. Maybe it"s because the entire series has been building to this one moment that will explode on our screens April 3rd. All predictions aside, The Walking Dead has been kind of predictable in all it"s season finales. Let me explain.
In Season 1 we were all new to this. A zombie show from a comic when we had many other choices at the time. Breaking Bad had already taken off as had Mad Men(both AMC shows)and this was going to be on cable not HBO or Showtime.
Dexter was also big back then and could be considered a horror series but for all of Dexter"s kill room rituals, yes we saw blood and body parts but never really anything to make you want to turn your head, until episode 1 of The Walking Dead premiered, Television in that first episode was changed forever, We were treated to gore like nothing before it and we loved it,
Season 1 had a couple of character death"s but except for Andrea"s sister(who we hardly knew)the main characters survived, The best parts were when Rick showed up at the camp when he was supposed to be dead(the look on Shane"s face was priceless)and Rick beginning to change from a caring human being to the one that handcuffed Merle leaving him to most likely die.
Season 2 ended up being the Rick vs. Shane season and the disappearance of Carol"s daughter along with the introduction to Hershell"s farm and his daughters Maggie and Beth who would all go on to play huge parts in the coming seasons.
Season 3 began with our crew back on the road before finally coming upon the prison which would be a legitimate place of refuge for the next couple of seasons. For all the hope and safety it brought it also brought in the series first Big Bad in the Governor and Woodbury. It also gave us what was the most shocking and gut wrenching episode Killer Within which saw the death of T Dog and Lori and Rick"s assent into madness and lastly the death of Andrea in he season finale Welcome to the Tombs.
Season 4, which was well received by critics myself included started with an airborne flu that was turning some of the prison occupants into zombies and then re introduced the Governor giving him a couple of stand alone episodes leading up to my favorite season finale Too Far Gone. The Governor abducted Hersell and Michonne and with the help of a tank attempted to take the prison, Sadly we lost Hersell to the Governor"s sword and the all out battle we had all been waiting for began. The Governor almost killing Rick as MIchonne"s sword thankfully put an end to that. The prison had still fallen and our group was now split up with no safe haven in sight.
Season 5 has our group split up looking for any place they can find some type of safety. As they wonder the roads they come upon a sign saying Come to Terminus Those that arrive survive. We are introduced to some new characters Abraham, Eugene and Rosita and witness the reunion of Glenn and Maggie as they all find themselves heading in the same direction...Terminus. Terminus ends up being anything but a safe haven as it"s inhabitants have a special item on their BBQ menu...people. Our group manages to escape(barely)and end up at a church run by Father Gabriel, who is battling his own demons but ends up joining Rick and the group. Most of Season 5 is about Beth and who took her. She is being held in a hospital run by a militant policewoman and it ends with Rick and the groups attempted rescue of Beth only to have her shot in the head accidentally killing her instantly and ending the season on a very sad note.
Season 6 brings us to the community of Alexandria with high walls and nice homes with water, food and something our group hasn't had in a long time...normalcy. It's like bringing wild animals into your home. They don't know how to react to normal anymore mostly because there really is no normal in The Walking Dead kingdom. Rick knows the people of Alexandria are ill prepared for what is really outside their walls and tries to reason with them. There are a lot of plot twists involving Glenn, Noah(a newcomer from the hospital Beth was in)and Nathan, an idiot that saves his own life as we all watch Noah be torn apart by Walkers,
Which leads us to where we are now still heading down that unknown path. Yes our group has changed drastically, now killing people before they are threatened(The Saviors). We've been introduced to the beloved character from the comics, Jesus as well as the Hilltop Community. it has been a very long journey to get to the point we're at now.
We've seen Carol's season one abused wife turn into the ultimate woman badass and the best character on the show. Then there's Michonne. Where would the group be without her. Glenn's emergence as a leader and soon to be father to Maggie's baby. And then there's Darryl....woman love him. Ok I said it. He is an original character not in the comics so whatever has happened or will happen to him is unscripted. He is Rick's second in command that uses a crossbow and rides motorcycles and has a very close relationship with Carol.
So here we are with three episodes to the season 6 finale. They are about to introduce the biggest of the big bads in Negan. Negan kills Glenn with his barbed wire wrapped baseball bat in the comics so most people think that's how this season will play out but when has Robert Kirkman ever not strayed from the comic. Yes Negan is going to be everything he's advertised to be. Yes no one in the group is safe. My prediction on the finale is we could end up with a Game of Throne's type ending where we don't lose just one of the group but multiple deaths. You will cry at the end of the episode. I won't because I'm a guy but it will be very upsetting. Glenn, Maggie and Darryl. I hope I'm wrong
